I have decided to take on this years Tour de Force 2017, a challenge that replicates exactly the 21 day Tour de France route and is described as ‘the toughest endurance race on earth!!!’ In short, the distance is 3516 kilometres... I will climb the equivalent of Ben Nevis, Snowdon, Scarfell Pike, Mont Blanc, Kilimanjaro and Everest… Not bad in 21 days, averaging 170 km per day and up to 10 hours in the saddle, now that’s going to be tender. its envisaged that I will burn up to 198,000 calories over that period…
